Braves advance to state finals
Indian Creek punched its ticket to the state finals with a fifth-place finish at the Bedford North Lawrence Regional on Saturday. The Braves totaled 104 points, just two points out of third and 25 back of the winning team, the host Stars. Sam Creek was an individual winner for the Braves, claiming first in his flight of the long jump.
Franklin placed eighth in the team standings with 74 points. The Grizzly Cubs won their heat in the girls 4×100 relay and Hunter Couden-Case took his flight in the boys shot put.
The state meet will take place this coming Saturday afternoon at Indiana University.
