NEW WHITELAND, INDIANA
Leonard H. “Lenny” Koenig, of New Whiteland, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on July 6, 2022 at the age of 81. He joins his beautiful bride, Bonnie Lee (Raymond) Koenig in Heaven where he is surely dancing with her.
Lenny is survived by his two daughters, Tammie Lee (Koenig) Hall &Tracie L. (Koenig) Gorham and their spouses Joseph S. Hall &Michael Gorham. He was a proud Grandad to his three grandchildren, Lenell (Hall) Tate, Darren Hall, and Matthew Gorham, and was the biggest fan of his great-grandgirls, Tierra Hall, Alexa Tate, and Olivia Tate, who he spoiled with love constantly. He is also survived by his younger brother, Harry Koenig, and younger sister, Mary (Koenig) Zurock. A few other family members who were very close to his heart include Maryanne Koenig and her lovely daughters along with Bobbie Raymond and his wife Kathy.
In addition to his parents, Lenny was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Koenig.
Lenny was born in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania on February 19, 1941 a son of the late Harry and Irene Koenig and worked most of his life in the steel mills. He became a supervisor quickly and was offered a position here in Indianapolis, Indiana where he moved his family and started new roots. He retired from Edgecomb Metals and enjoyed a long retirement where he spent quality time with family and friends. He enjoyed hot rod cars and going to the movies.
He will be missed by all, especially by his family and close friends, the breakfast buddies, and his friend Don, who was his partner-in-crime. If you knew Lenny, you knew him to be the sweetest person with the biggest heart and ornery side.

A visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm with a small service immediately after at Jessen &Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel.
