Boys tennis

Grizzly Cubs defeat Dragons

Franklin earned three three-set victories, including two in doubles, on the way to a 4-1 triumph over New Palestine on Tuesday. Pryce Rucker and Luke Sherry rallied to take the win at first doubles, with Dylan Funkhouser and Ian Blackketter doing the same in the No. 2 spot. Reid Davidson came from a set down to prevail at second singles, and Nathan Neville took his match at No. 3 in straight sets.

Woodmen sweep Artesians

Greenwood rolled to a 5-0 conference win over Martinsville. Noah Paswater, Carter Chatham and Ian Ratliff swept the singles points for the Woodmen (5-2, 2-1 Mid-State), Aidyn Green and Blake Reynolds won at No. 1 doubles and the No. 2 duo of Ben Cruser and Will Davidson was also victorious.

Braves dominate Spartans

Indian Creek dropped just two games in a 5-0 victory over Southwestern. Peyton Strunk, Brendan Conner and Grant Dalton were singles winners for the Braves (4-0), while Aiden Pemberton and Landon Sichting earned a point at first doubles and Trent Volz and Aaron Spurgeon won in the second position.

Lancers come up shy

Despite a straight-sets victory from Max Blandford at No. 1 singles, Edinburgh was beaten by Brownstown Central, 4-1.

Girls golf

Trojans split three-way

Fifth-ranked Center Grove beat Fishers in a three-way meet at Brookshire on Tuesday but fell short against No. 1 Carmel, 159-171. Ellie Adkisson paced the Trojans with a 41, followed by Sage Parsetich (42), Magnolia Miller (43) and Lexi Stuart (45).

Volleyball

Edinburgh tops Morristown

Gracie Crawhorn collected 11 kills, eight blocks and 26 digs in leading Edinburgh to a 25-21, 25-14, 19-25, 25-14 win over Morristown on Tuesday. Kyah Streeval and Zoey Sida each added seven kills for the Lancers (8-2).

Trojans fall in five

Center Grove pulled ahead by a set twice but ended up suffering a heartbreaking 23-25, 25-20, 23-25, 26-24, 15-10 loss at Cathedral.

Boys soccer

Trojans blank Bears

Class 3A No. 12 Center Grove shut out Lawrence Central on Tuesday, 4-0. Bawi Hmung, Juan Sanchez, Tyler Schruben and Matheus Guber each scored a goal for the Trojans.

Warriors lose against Dragons

Yahir Lugardo scored a pair of goals, but Whiteland still came out on the wrong end of a 3-2 score against New Palestine.

Girls soccer

Franklin bitten by Bull Dogs

Emma Williams scored her first goal of the season, but Franklin wound up on the losing end of a 10-1 match against Columbus North on Monday night.
