Trojans top Franklin in three-way

Third-ranked Center Grove got a trio of 37s from Camille Short, Lexi Stuart and Rowen Pfeifle and a 39 from Sage Parsetich to defeat No. 7 Franklin, 150-164, in a three-way match at The Legends on Tuesday. Both teams beat Columbus North (176). Reese Phillips led the Grizzly Cubs with a 40, while Lexi Ray and Morgan Sandrock each shot 41 and Addie Livorno carded a 42.

Lancers top Braves, Spartans

Izzy Richardson’s 44 and Macie Blandford’s 46 helped Edinburgh to wins over Indian Creek and Southwestern at Timbergate. The Lancers beat the Braves, 204-218, despite the visitors getting a medalist round of 42 from Hannah Emenhiser.

Royals eighth at county tourney

Roncalli placed eighth among 15 schools in the Marion County tournament at Smock. Elsie Kerr led the Royals with a score of 83, good for fifth individually.

Creek knocks off Woodmen

Indian Creek avenged its lone regular-season loss from a year ago, picking up a 4-1 win at Greenwood on Tuesday. Grant Dalton was a three-set winner at third singles for the Braves (11-0), and the No. 1 doubles team of Aiden Pemberton and Landon Sichting also went the distance to pick up a point. Brendan Conner won in straight sets at second singles, while Trent Volz and Aaron Spurgeon did the same at No. 2 doubles. Greenwood (9-6) got its lone point from Noah Paswater at first singles.

Trojans edge Royals

Class 3A No. 6 Center Grove got a late goal from Emily Karr to escape with a 3-2 win over Roncalli on Tuesday. Karr and Molly Tapak each scored once in the first half for the Trojans (7-0-1), while Summer Fishel had both goals for the Royals (5-4-1).

Greenwood throttles Herron

Emily Metzger scored four goals and assisted on two more in Greenwood’s 9-0 rout of Herron. The Woodmen (5-1-1) also got single tallies from Kendyl Farmer, Makena Cruse, Joelle Young, Bre Wheatley and Alyssa Hamm. Wheatley and Kate Berger combined to preserve the shutout.

Roncalli nips Guerin Catholic

Goals from Eros Garcia, Drew Kegerreis and Isaac Gomez-Alejo allowed Roncalli to earn a 3-2 triumph over Guerin Catholic in Circle City Conference action on Tuesday. The Royals improve to 4-3 overall with the win.

Center Grove wins in four

Center Grove defeated North Central on Tuesday, 25-20, 26-24, 22-25, 25-21, improving to 7-8 on the season.
