GREENWOOD
Our beloved Mother, Bernice A. Spista, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2022. She was a loving Mother to her children, Patricia VanDyke (Robert), Kathleen Hurrle (Don), John Spista, Jr. (Debbie), Robert Spista (Sally), and Gary Spista (Anne). Bernice was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John Spista, Sr. She loved her 11 Grandchildren, and 10 Great Grandchildren, who were always close to her heart.
Mom was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was very proud of her Irish heritage. She cherished her family most of all! If you were a part of her family, then you were perfect! She always saw the good in everyone she met! She was generous, hardworking, and never complained! We will miss her sunny disposition, her warmth, and her great sense of humor!
Bernice worked for many years in the watch repair department at Block’s Department Store, downtown. She was an avid walker and took the time to chat with everyone along the way!
Friends may call on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at Wilson St. Pierre Service &Crematory Greenwood Chapel, 481 W. Main Street Greenwood, from 4:00pm – 8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic Church, 335 S Meridian St, Greenwood, IN 46143, on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at 10:30am
