Franciscan Health to close public COVID test sites Saturday

Franciscan Health’s Indianapolis and Mooresville hospitals will discontinue outpatient COVID-19 testing for symptomatic patients on Saturday.

The number of symptomatic outpatients seeking tests at both hospital locations has remained significantly low in recent months, hospital officials said in a press release on the closure.

Patients can still schedule appointments for tests with their Franciscan Physician Network doctor’s offices, Franciscan Express Care urgent care clinics, or through their primary care providers, hospital officials said.

Home test kits are also available at retail pharmacies and for purchase online.
