Jack H. Weber

MARTINSVILLE

Jack H. Weber, 93, Martinsville, passed away peacefully at the Springs of Mooresville on Wednesday, December 28, 2022.

He was born on Saturday, November 9, 1929 in Indianapolis, Indiana. His parents were Herb Weber and Kathlyn (Langdon) Rogers.

Jack was employed by Allison’s for 42 years. Jack loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren when they were growing up. He also enjoyed substitute teaching at Martinsville schools for many years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed learning about history.

Jack was also a community servant for his entire adult life. Some of the many activities include a youth group leader, Whiteland United Methodist Church, New Whiteland Jaycees, Whiteland Cub Scout Cubmaster, Whiteland Pee Wee League baseball coach, founding member of the Jubilee Masonic Lodge # 746 in Whiteland, Whiteland Planning Commission, started the Whiteland Girls Softball League, New Whiteland Town Board, New Whiteland Optimist Club, Clark-Pleasant High School Advisory Committee, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Morgan County Community Service Center Board, Martinsville Fall Foliage Festival and Kiwanis.

He is survived by his wife Beverly (Means) Weber of Martinsville, three children Steve (Marilyn O’Tain) Weber of Shelbyville, Dan (Debbie) Weber of Greenwood and Barb (Allan) Ifill of Hampton, GA; three step-children Jeff (Cindy) Farren of Indianapolis, Jill (Dale) Coffey and Jonathan Farren, both of Martinsville; three grandchildren: Whitney (Rafael) King, Josh (Toni Meyers) Ifill and Christopher (Carina Vargas) Weber; four step grandchildren: Marshall Farren, Clayton Farren, Cameron Farren; Maggie Coffey; two great grandchildren: Rafael King Jr., Mila Ifill.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter Jacqueline Suzanne Weber.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Costin Funeral Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A Masonic service will be during visitation at 7:00 p.m.
