Center Grove hosting community input session Thursday

Center Grove Community School Corporation will host a public conversation session Thursday, welcoming participants to voice their opinions on all school-related topics.

The session, titled “Good for the Grove,” is the first of three forums that follow regularly scheduled board meetings. Thursday’s event will take place immediately following the 7 p.m. Board of Trustees meeting at 4800 W. Stones Crossing Road, Greenwood. The other two meetings will take place following the June 22 and Sept. 28 board meetings, according to a flyer from the school district.

The forum is a departure from the public comment policy in place during regular board meetings, when attendees are limited to topics on the meeting’s agenda.

Speakers will be limited to three minutes each, with a total of 15 minutes of public comment allowed. Commenters must follow school board policy, which prohibits public commenters from making comments that are personally directed, frivolous, repetitive, harassing or abusive.

School stakeholders can get on the list to speak by signing in before the event.
