The college basketball career of Trayce Jackson-Davis came to an end with Indiana’s 85-69 loss to Miami (Florida) in the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Jackson-Davis, the former Indiana Mr. Basketball from Center Grove, had 23 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots against the Hurricanes. The consensus All-American completes his IU career as the program’s all-time leader in rebounds (1,143) and blocked shots (270) and is third on the scoring list with 2,258 points.

Senior guard Emma Utterback had 13 points and four assists for Vermont women’s basketball in its 95-52 loss at Connecticut in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Louisville junior Kiyah Yeast finished third in the 100-meter dash in personal-best time of 11.70 seconds and was part of the runner-up 4×100 relay team (45.37) as the Cardinals women’s track and field team opened its outdoor season at the Yellow Jacket Invite.
The Saint Leo (Florida) baseball team scored a three-game sweep of Embry-Riddle as senior first baseman Mike Wyman finished 5 of 12 at the plate with four runs driven in.
Pitcher Drue Young got the win for Indiana Wesleyan baseball in a 14-4 victory at Goshen College, allowing eight hits and recording four strikeouts in six innings.
Indiana baseball player Tyler Cerny delivered a two-run single as the Hoosiers defeated visiting Indiana State, 15-5.
Junior first baseman Lexi Fair homered and singled for the Southern Indiana softball team in its 8-0 win over Lindenwood. Her three-run home run keyed USI’s 7-4 triumph in the second game of the doubleheader.
Saint Leo (Florida) men’s golfer Alex Heck helped the Lions carded his team’s low total at the Bobcat Invitational, shooting scores of 73 and 78 to tie for 51st-place individually.

Senior catcher Lexy Rees doubled and drove in a run to help UIndy softball blank Southern Connecticut St., 10-0. She had an RBI single in a 7-4 defeat of Bentley.
WHITELAND
Lipscomb sophomore Bella Jackson placed 11th in the 100-meter hurdles in a time of 15.47 seconds as the Bison opened their outdoor track and field season at the Yellow Jacket Invite hosted by Georgia Tech.
UIndy freshman pitcher Caden Wilburn worked the first three innings of the baseball team’s 10-7 loss to visiting Findlay, allowing two hits and walking five.
FRANKLIN
Kenyon College junior swimmer Sarah Hoffman placed seventh in the 500 freestyle in a time of 4 minutes, 57.38 seconds to finish seventh and garner all-American status.
RONCALLI
Ball State women’s basketball finished its season with a 26-9 record after losing at Memphis in the second round of the NIT tournament, 79-62, as sophomore guard Maddie Bischoff (Greenwood) had five points, four assists and four steals.
