The two designated sites in Johnson County for disaster debris collection will this month.
The site located at the northwest corner of the Johnson County Fairgrounds site, 250 Fairground St., Franklin, will close at 6 p.m. Saturday.
The Whiteland site, located at GFL Environmental, 2959 S. Emerson Avenue, will stay open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily until 6 p.m. April 23, according to Johnson County Recycling District.
All materials brought for collection must be sorted by type:
- White goods (household appliances)
- Metals
- Household chemicals
- Electronics
- Clean yard waste (non-treated wood, shrubs and limbs; tree stumps are not allowed)
- Trash (all other materials; tires are not allowed)
