Cougars win conference title
Ian Reed was the medalist with a 75 as Greenwood Christian won the PAAC tournament at Hillview on Saturday. Noah Reed and Parker Satre added rounds of 83 and 86, respectively, for the Cougars, who totaled 349 to beat Park Tudor by 24 strokes.

Whiteland wins one of two
Playing host at its own invitational, Whiteland opened with a 10-3 victory over Brownstown Central before falling to Class 4A No. 5 Hamilton Southeastern in the title game, 26-9. Halle Nett was 3 for 4 with three RBIs in the win over the Braves, while Josslyn Harbert, Emma Piercy, Kiley Sullivan and Gracee Whitaker also had three hits apiece for the Warriors (7-5).

Lancers split a pair
Edinburgh played two games on Saturday, posting a 17-6 win over Eminence and falling to Class A No. 6 Indianapolis Lutheran, 34-3. Jared Myers and Gabe Bennett each had three doubles and three RBIs in the victory for the Lancers (2-10), while Austin Brockman also drove in three runs and Jarrett Turner scored four.
Girls tennis
Warriors earn tourney win
Whiteland opened invitational play at West Lafayette Harrison by defeating Goshen, 3-2, on Saturday. Candace Stephenson and Namjeet Kaur won at second and third singles for the Warriors (5-6), while Sara Ullrich and Rowen Starns were victorious at second doubles. The championship match was called off due to inclement weather.

Baseball sweeps Engineers
Noah Wood hit two home runs, including a walk-off solo shot in the 10th inning, to help Franklin College to a 4-3 win over Rose-Hulman that completed a Saturday doubleheader sweep. Jonathan LaGuire had two homers and six RBIs in the opener for the Grizzlies (24-7, 12-1 HCAC), who won that game by a 17-8 score.
Men’s tennis edges Ravens
Dustin Garrison’s three-set win at No. 2 singles allowed Franklin College to pull out a 5-4 triumph over Anderson on Saturday. Garrison also paired with Layton Stieneker to win at first doubles for the Grizzlies (6-13, 2-3 HCAC), who also got wins from Nathan Jarboe and Shay Kiser at third doubles, Owen Pickerill at third singles and Ezra Schwier at No. 4 singles.
