FRANKLIN
Shirley Elizabeth (Johnson) Sewell, 85 of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023.
She was born on June 17, 1937 in Franklin, Indiana to Gideon P. Johnson and Lillie M. (Duggins) Johnson. She married Paul L. Sewell on June 27, 1954. Shirley is survived by daughter, Debra K. Thomas; son, Jeffrey P. Sewell (Sheila); grandchildren, Crystal M. Brown and Malissa K. Campbell (Rusty) and great-grandchildren, Alex Campbell, Darwin Beyer, Linden Brown, and Ryvyn Brown. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband Paul, three brothers and three sisters.
She attended Franklin Community Schools.
Shirley was a Homemaker and sold Avon for over forty years.
She was a member of Victory Christian Church.
Visitation for Family and Friends will be on Monday, May 1, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Victory Christian Church, 1720 Graham Road, Franklin, Indiana 46131. Pastor Josh Cadwell will conduct a Celebration of Shirley’s life on Monday, May 1st at 11:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Victory Christian Church, 1720 Graham Road, Franklin, Indiana 46131.
