A Morgantown woman was sent to the hospital via Lifeline helicopter following a crash Thursday afternoon.
The single-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. at County Road 500 West and Lowe Drive, near Lamb Lake. The 65-year-old driver was in a tan GMC Envoy.
Deputies say it appears the woman ran off the road, hitting the guardrail and a tree before coming to a stop. She had been traveling southbound at the time of the accident, according to the accident report from Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman was sent to Methodist Hospital in serious condition, Sheriff Duane Burgess said. She was unable to give a statement about the accident to due to her condition, the report says.
