Center Grove HS evacuated after bomb threat

A bomb threat at Center Grove High School required school officials to evacuate the building Thursday.

Students were evacuated around 12:20 p.m. and sent to Ray Skillman Stadium while Center Grove police, Clark-Pleasant police and their K-9s searched the building, according to a message sent to parents.

The students returned to the building by 1 p.m. after the threat was deemed not credible, according to school officials.

“We appreciate the students who reported the threat and the orderly fashion in which our students and staff were able to evacuate quickly and return to class approximately 30 minutes later,” the message to parents said.

People should report safety concerns to an administrator of Center Grove police officer, or by using the Safe Schools Alert online system, the message said.
