Lancers cruise into title game

Edinburgh used 15 hits to club its way to a 17-0 home victory over Morristown in Class A sectional semifinal action on Thursday. Gracie Barrett was 3 for 3 with four RBIs to lead the Lancers (14-12), who put the game away with a nine-run third inning. Alix Streeval and Eloise Cox each drove in three runs, while Gracie Crawhorn and Kenna Streeval scored three runs apiece. Edinburgh will host Indianapolis Lutheran in today’s championship game.

Braves dominate Wildcats

Indian Creek used a seven-run fifth inning to take control of what became a 14-4 win over South Vermillion in the semifinal round of the Class 3A Owen Valley Sectional on Thursday night. The Braves (11-9) advance into Monday’s noon final against West Vigo.

Boys golf

Blandford, Edinburgh victorious

Max Blandford led all scorers with a 37 as Edinburgh posted a team score of 190 to defeat Southwestern. Mason Calhoun, Wyatt Burton and Devyn Milburn each carded a 51 for the Lancers.
