Greenwood man found not guilty in domestic dispute

A Greenwood man was found not guilty of assaulting and choking a woman during a 2021 domestic dispute.

William Woodford, 32, was found not guilty of strangulation, a Level 6 felony, and domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor, by Johnson County Superior Court 2 Judge Peter Nugent on Thursday. The verdict follows a bench trial that took place on two separate days in March and May, according to online court records.
