Wilma Maxine Stigall

GREENWOOD

85, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023. She was born February 11, 1938 to the late Herbert and Hazel Keyt. Maxine was a 1955 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School and studied at Western College and Indiana Central. Maxine and George were married on April 5, 1958 and remained happily married for 63 years until his passing in 2021. During her lifetime, she was a secretary for Frost Air, a mother and a homemaker. George and Maxine owned Windsor Gun Shop for over 30 years. They were active members of the Indianapolis Model A Club, Ford Thunderbird Club, Antique Airplane Association and the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. Maxine had great pleasure with dear friends in all the various activities of these clubs. Maxine and George loved their interesting adventures traveling throughout our country. They enjoyed educational trips to many beautiful and historic sites. Maxine found great comfort attending Grace Church.

Maxine is survived by her children, Beverly Stigall, Ernest Stigall (Annette), and James Stigall (Diana); grandchildren, Joseph, Natalie, Angela, Jessica, Jayla and Jenna Stigall; great-grandchildren, Addisyn, Alden and Lawson; and brother, David Keyt (Chris). Besides her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Keyt; and sisters, Carolyn Cochran and Marguerite Clark.

Maxine felt blessed and deeply grateful for the love and companionship of her extended family, friends and caregivers. She appreciated the excellent care during her time at Community South and Community North Heart Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, June 23, 2023 from 3:30 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 East Thompson Road, Indianapolis.
