Shepherd cashes in at Dana Open

Erica Shepherd closed out with a 1-under-par 70 on Sunday, finishing in a tie for 70th overall at the LPGA’s Dana Open in Sylvania, Ohio. Shepherd bounced back from a third-round 77 and ended up with a four-day total of 287, 3 shots over par.

The Center Grove grad won $3,503 for her efforts, her first time cashing an LPGA check since turning professional this spring.

Shepherd got out to an up-and-down start on Sunday, posting three bogeys and three birdies on the front nine. She settled down on the back side with seven consecutive pars before notching a birdie on the par-5 18th hole.
