INDIANAPOLIS
Delbert Schiller, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2023. He was born June 15, 1941 in Dubois, Indiana to the late Harry Albert and Velma Leora (Harder) Schiller. Delbert proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He married Sandra Lee Green in 1962, and she preceded him in death May 30, 2022 after 60 years of marriage. He was a sheet metal worker for Apex Industries and retired from IFD Station #27 after 21 years of service. Delbert was a member of Zion United Church of Christ for many years. He was a member of Pleasant Masonic Lodge #134 F. & A.M.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at Shirley Brothers Thompson Road Chapel, 3333 East Thompson Road.
Delbert is survived by his children, Keith Cory (Jeanne) Schiller, Tony Schiller and Reneé (Becky Ransdell) Schiller; brothers, Radus Edward Schiller and James Allen Schiller; sister, Helen Marie Burris; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
