Woman taken to hospital after being struck by car in Greenwood

Police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck in Greenwood Friday morning.

First responders were called around 7:30 a.m. Friday to the intersection of County Line Road and Madison Avenue on a report of a pedestrian struck. A 60-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle at the intersection, said Matt Fillenwarth, assistant chief of police.

The woman was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, where her condition is currently unknown. Her identity has not been released.

Accident investigators from the Greenwood Police Department are working at the scene now, Fillenwarth said.
