Lancers defeat Braves

Edinburgh was beaten by Greensburg but managed a 236-242 triumph over Indian Creek at Tameka Woods on Wednesday. Macie Blandford was the medalist with a 44 for the Lancers, who also got a 58 from Izzy Richardson. Shelby Roach (54) and Allison Vavul (58) were the top scorers for the Braves.

Warriors edged in three-way

Whiteland fell just short against Mooresville (171) and Plainfield (180), losing by 13 and four strokes, respectively. Chloe Cooper shot 42 and Kylie McGovern 43 to lead the Warriors, who also got a 47 from Karley Hoagland and a 52 from Elayna Taylor.

Franklin routs Flashes, Cardinals

No. 10 Franklin coasted past Franklin Central and Southport at Southern Dunes, shooting 156 to beat the Flashes by 48 strokes. Lexi Ray paced the Grizzly Cubs with a 36, with Addie Livorno (39), Addi Bright (40) and Kara Heuchan (41) rounding out the scoring.

Trojans top Carmel, Fishers

Maren Pfeifle’s 39 led the way for No. 3 Center Grove as it defeated Carmel and Fishers. Amanda Wallace shot 40 for the Trojans, followed by Zoe Land at 42 and London Dodson at 47.

Grizzly Cubs claim home win

Nathan Neville’s three-set triumph at second singles sealed Franklin’s 3-2 victory over Shelbyville on Wednesday. Luke Sherry and Jaxson Doddridge picked up a point at second doubles for the Grizzly Cubs, while Colin Anderson won at No. 3 singles.

Woodmen sweep Wildcats

Greenwood dropped just five games on the way to a quick 5-0 win over Lawrence North. Noah Paswater, Carter Chatham and Ian Ratliff took the three singles points for the Woodmen (2-0), Brayden Holman and Will Davidson were a winner at No. 1 doubles and Nick Pruett and Seth McCauley were victorious at second doubles.

Grizzly Cubs rout Golden Bears

Cole Hufford tallied three goals as Franklin got its season started with an 8-1 home victory over Shelbyville on Tuesday night. Dylan Harris, Matt Payne, Ayb Moore, J.D. Sever and Camden Atkison also scored goals for the Grizzly Cubs, with Payne also contributing three assists in the win.
