One person is in custody after a shooting in White River Township Saturday afternoon.
At approximately 4:09 p.m. Johnson County 911 received a call regarding a person shot in the 1200 block of Wood Creek Drive, Greenwood. One person was transported to IU Methodist Hospital via White River Fire Department EMS/Ambulance, according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.
The person who was shot is in serious, but stable condition, the sheriff’s office says.
A person of interest is in sheriff’s office custody and there are no remaining threats to residents in the area, Sheriff Duane Burgess said. The neighborhood where the incident took place is near County Line and Peterman roads.
The investigation is still ongoing and more information will be released when possible.
