Grizzly Cubs knock off Trojans

Ninth-ranked Franklin put up a season-low total of 147 to defeat No. 3 Center Grove by 13 shots Tuesday in a three-way match that also included Columbus North. Lexi Ray was the medalist with a 34 for the Grizzly Cubs, followed closely by a 35 from Reese Phillips and rounds of 39 from Addie Livorno and Addi Bright. The Trojans were paced by a 38 from Camille Short, while Ellie Adkisson shot 40 and both Magnolia Miller and Rowen Pfeifle carded 41s.

Braves defeat Lancers

Shelby Roach earned medalist honors with a 44 while leading Indian Creek to a 211-227 win over Edinburgh. Emily Hogue shot 51 for the Braves, followed by Christole Baugh at 55. The Lancers were led by Macie Blandford (45) and Izzy Richardson (47).

Warriors take three-way win

Whiteland posted a team score of 196 to defeat Greenwood by nine strokes and Bloomington North by 36. Kylie McGovern was the medalist with a round of 42 for the Warriors, who also got a 48 from Chloe Cooper, 50 from Karley Hoagland and 56 from Emma Gunn.

Woodmen get past Creek

A singles sweep helped Greenwood to a 3-1 victory over Indian Creek on Tuesday. Noah Paswater, Carter Chatham and Ian Ratliff all won in straight sets for the Woodmen (8-3). Trent Volz and Landon Sichting picked up a point at first doubles for the Braves; the No. 2 doubles match was not completed due to storms in the area.

Center Grove rolls past Whiteland

Ely Detty scored five goals as Class 3A No. 3 Center Grove coasted to a 7-0 triumph over Whiteland on Tuesday. Charlie Habig and Cooper Worley also found the back of the net for the Trojans (7-0-1).

Volleyball

Trojans taken down in four

Class 4A No. 9 Center Grove was beaten by Roncalli on Tuesday evening, 25-12, 24-26, 25-23, 25-19.
