Franklin tops Greenwood, Avon

Lexi Ray shot a 32 to lead No. 9 Franklin to a comfortable victory over Greenwood and Avon at The Legends on Wednesday. Reese Phillips added a 38 and Addie Livorno and Addi Bright carded matching 39s for the Grizzly Cubs, whose team score of 148 was enough to beat the runner-up Woodmen by 52.

Trojans coast past Cougars

No. 3 Center Grove earned a 146-207 win over Bloomington North, with all six players shooting under 40. Rowen Pfeifle paced the Trojans with a 35, followed by Camille Short at 36 and Ellie Adkisson at 37. Maren Pfeifle and London Dodson each finished with a 38 and Magnolia Miller shot a 39.

Braves win second straight

Indian Creek topped Triton Central, 220-247, for its second win in as many days. Emily Hogue and Allison Vavul shared medalist honors with rounds of 54 for the Braves, while Christole Baugh and Shelby Roach each carded a 56.

Girls soccer

Greenwood blanks Mooresville

Lizzy Metzger and Makena Cruse each scored a goal and Bre Wheatley posted a shutout as Greenwood defeated Mooresville on Wednesday evening, 2-0. The win improves the Woodmen to 5-1-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the Mid-State Conference.

Woodmen edged by Flashes

Greenwood took a tough 3-2 loss against Franklin Central on Wednesday. Noah Paswater and Ian Ratliff won in straight sets for the Woodmen (8-4) at first and third singles, respectively.

Austin Brockman was a straight-set winner at first singles, but his was the only point Edinburgh could muster in a 4-1 loss to Hauser.
