Franklin artists invited to submit work for community art show

Local artists are invited to participate in the Franklin Parks and Recreation Community Art Show to be held on Oct. 7 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Johnson County Museum of History.

Entry categories include: 2-D; acrylic; mixed media/misc.; oil; photography; pottery/ceramics; recycled; watercolor; wood carving and they are adding an additional category this year Franklin Bicentennial, in celebration of the city of Franklin’s Bicentennial.

Maximum of three entries per artist and the cost is $4 per entry. All entries should be dropped off at the museum on Oct. 7 from 8 to 10 a.m. The museum is located at 135 N. Main St. in Franklin.
