Edinburgh’s postseason came to an abrupt end with a 5-0 loss to Columbus East in the opening round of the Columbus North Sectional on Wednesday. The Lancers dropped all five matches in straight sets.

Warriors blank Pioneers

Whiteland shut out Mooresville on Wednesday, 1-0. Rhianna Hardy scored the lone goal for the Warriors, while Addison Emberton posted her eighth shutout of the year.

Trojans, Royals fight to draw

Center Grove and Roncalli played to a 2-2 tie on Tuesday night. Madi Kramer and Mia Marlin scored goals for the Trojans, with Taylor Wert assisting on both.

Volleyball opens HCAC play with win

Franklin College started its conference schedule on a high with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-8 home sweep of Bluffton on Wednesday evening. McKenzie Schroeder had eight kills for the Grizzlies (7-9, 1-0 HCAC), while Hope Moring and Miranda Wilson added seven apiece.

Men’s soccer throttles Ravens

Jon Moore recorded his first career hat trick, leading Franklin College to a 4-1 victory at Anderson. Lucas Pereira added the final goal for the Grizzlies (2-5-2, 1-0 HCAC).
