Criminal Mischief

1700 Franklin Place Court: A woman reported at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday that she believes that her daughter’s boyfriend broke her other daughter’s chromebook.

Fraud

1000 block of Rebecca Lane: A woman reported at 11:07 a.m. Tuesday that she was contacted by text from a female to see if she wanted to sell a photo of herself. The female sent her two $500 checks and another for $428 for her to deposit, after she deposited the checks, her bank alerted her that her account was over drawn and that two checks were stolen and other was on a account of a deceased person.

Hit and Run

1904 Northwood Plaza Drive: A woman reported at 8:47 p.m. Tuesday that she parked her vehicle at a restaurant to have dinner, after dinner she drove to Walmart where she noticed damage to her vehicle, a dent on the drivers side rear bumper that was not there when she parked at the restaurant.

Theft

625 Grizzly Cub Drive, Franklin Middle School: A woman reported at 8:25 p.m. Tuesday that her son’s bike was stolen from the bike rack behind the school.

1472 S. State Road 135, Home Bank: Reported at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday that a check fraud had occurred.

500 block of Cembra Drive: Reported at 10:26 a.m. Tuesday that a fraud had occurred.

Identity Theft

500 block of Meadowview Lane: Reported at 6:24 p.m. Tuesday that an identity theft had occurred.

Personal-injury accident

11:10 a.m. Sunday – Sheek Road and Stop 18. Amber Johnson 35, Greenwood. Johnson reported having pain and injury to her neck.

Thefts

1100 block of Vicksburg S. Drive: Reported at 7:57 a.m. Wednesday that a theft had occurred.

1251 U.S. 31 N., BJs Brewhouse: Reported at 12:35 p.m. Tuesday that a theft had occurred.

1400 block of St. Clare Way, Flats at Stones Crossing: Reported at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday that items were stolen from a garage on site.

Criminal Mischief

4300 block of W. County Line Road, Greenwood: A woman reported at 4:58 p.m. Tuesday that neighborhood kids threw rocks through a window, breaking it and a man also reported that he had found damage to his residence and several rocks in his grass.

Fraud

1000 block of W. Division Road, Franklin: A woman reported at 8:04 a.m. Tuesday that she was scammed by someone she thought was from Amazon, then transferred a alleged Social Security office, given what she thought was a case number and then transfer to a alleged US Marshall’s office, where they coaxed her to go to her bank and take out $10,000 then go to Walmart and buy gift cards and she gave them the gift card numbers over the phone and has lost $10,000.

Narcotics

625 Grizzly Cub Drive, Franklin Middle School: Reported at 9:04 a.m. Tuesday that a juvenile was caught with two vape devices, they were found in their chromebook case. Police performed a field test for marijuana and it can back positive, the juvenile was suspended from school.

Somarah Gerhardt, 18, Shelbyville; arrested on charges of reckless driving and interfering with public safety; released on $2,000 bond.

Cordaroll Deante Hicks, 35, Indianapolis; arrested on a charge of contempt and wanted on a Johnson County warrant; held on $1,000 bond.

Troy T. Phelps Sr., 61, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of possession of methamphetamine; held on $16,000 bond.

Carter John Holzer, 22, Greenwood; arrested on a charge of resisting law enforcement using a vehicle; released on $1,200 bond.

Carter N. Ewing, 22, Greenwood; arrested on charges of interfering with law enforcement using a vehicle and reckless driving; released on $2,200 bond.
