Fischer Homes planning 49-home subdivision in Greenwood

A new 49-home neighborhood is in development on Greenwood’s west side.

Brighton Knoll, a new community of 49 home sites, is being developed by Fischer Homes on about 22.3 acres of land northwest of Freedom Park in Greenwood. Northern Kentucky-based Fischer Homes is the nation’s 30th largest home builder and the 10th largest privately-held home builder in the country.

The development, which is within Greenwood schools boundaries, is south of Featherstone and adjacent to Brighton Estates, another Fischer community. Brighton Estates is sold-out, according to a Fischer Homes news release.

“We have already seen an incredible demand for Brighton Knoll,” said Jon Jasper, market president for Fischer Homes Indianapolis Division. “Our Designer Collection of new homes offers captivating stylized exteriors with a wide variety of home plans and the latest in design trends.”

Fischer officials say the home sites in Brighton Knoll will offer “modern convenience with a small-town feel.” It is being developed by Greg Allen of Greenwood-based Allen Commercial Group, a long-time Fischer development partner, the company says.

The development will feature 43 homes from Fischer’s Designer Collection and six Fischer Masterpiece Collection homes. Buyers can choose from a variety of new designs ranging from 1,600 square feet to 4,000 square feet and stylized exteriors, including Modern Farmhouse and Coastal Cottage, while personalizing their new home at the Fischer Homes Lifestyle Design Center, according to the company.

Information about home pricing for the development is not yet available. At Indigo Run in Southport, another Fischer development, homes from the Designer Collection are priced around or above $500,000, with one home currently listed for $585,000 online.

Indigo Run is also in its final phase of development, a Fischer spokesperson said.

Fischer Homes describes Brighton Knoll as a “golfer’s paradise” as there are more than a dozen nearby golf courses, including Dye’s Walk Country Club and Hickory Stick Golf Club.

“Greenwood provides the perfect combination of small-town atmosphere with the conveniences of a modern area with a bustling downtown,” said Amanda Deardorff, land acquisition manager for Fischer Homes Indianapolis Division.

Brighton Knoll is under development now, a Fischer spokesperson said.
