2801 N. Morton St, police department: A man reported at 8:09 a.m. Monday that he noticed a icon on his computer saying it was Microsoft IT and clicked on it, then he got a message to call a phone number, after calling the number, they tried to get him to purchase Bitcoin and he knew it was a scam.

Hit and Run

N. Morton St. and Earlywood Drive: A woman reported at 10:29 a.m. Monday that a silver vehicle had hit her and she was following the vehicle, after police arrived and stopped the vehicle a man was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.

500 block of W. Madison St.: A woman reported at 12:58 p.m. Sunday that a vehicle had hit her back porch, damaging it, a lilac tree and a rose bush.

160 E. Adams St., Franklin Adult Center: A man reported at 10:16 p.m. Saturday that while inside someone had hit his vehicle that was parked on the east-side of the building.

1053 W. Jefferson St., Franklin License Branch: A woman reported at 3:38 p.m. Friday that after she returned to her vehicle, she noticed that her vehicle had been struck on the back left fender and bumper.

250 Fourteenth St., Temple Park: A man reported at 2:53 p.m. Saturday that he found a broken glass pipe with white residue in the grass near the park’s playground.

Thefts

2390 N. Morton St., Meijer: A asset protection employee reported at 12:36 p.m. Monday that a woman had selected several cans of formula, worth $650.69, placed them in a Meijer reusable bag and covered the bag with apparel and tried to leave the store. The employee escorted her to the office and police were called, she was arrested for theft with prior conviction.

2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: A employee reported at 6:54 p.m. Sunday that he had two shoplifters in the loss prevention office, they had skip scanned $167 worth of merchandise and he wanted them trespassed from the store.

2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: Asset protection employee reported at 3:15 p.m. Friday that a man had skip scanned several items and attempted to leave the store with over $440 worth of merchandise.

750 U.S. 31 N., Tom O’Brien Chrysler: Reported at 8:31 a.m. Monday that criminal mischief at the dealership had occurred.

800 block of Sommersweet Run: Reported at 6:50 p.m. Monday that a fraud had occurred.

186 Surina Way, police department: Reported at 4:19 p.m. Monday that an identity theft had occurred.

9:22 p.m. Sunday – W. Smith Valley Road and S. State Road 135. Juvenile, 17, Greenwood, reported having pain and injury to their elbow/lower arm.

4:52 p.m. Saturday – County Line Road and Madison Ave. Measha Wilburn, 27, Indianapolis. Wilburn reported having pain and injury to her back. A. Cheam, 45, Franklin. Cheam reported having an abrasion with injury to her chest. Roxanne Miller, 44, Greenwood. Miller reported having pain and injury to her chest. Two juveniles, 6 and 7, reported having injuries.

1133 N. Emerson Ave., Walmart: Reported at 10:39 p.m. Monday that a man was arrested for theft with prior conviction and possession of paraphernalia.

1133 N. Emerson Ave., Walmart: Reported at 7:52 p.m. Monday that a person was issued a summons to appear for the crime of theft.

640 U.S. 31 S., Lavish Hair Lounge: Reported at 4:26 p.m. Monday that a theft had occurred.

300 block of Lancelot Drive, Franklin: Reported at 10:43 a.m. Monday that a man was arrested on several drug charges after a search of his residence.
