Trafalgar officials seek information on ‘intentional’ house fire

Police and fire investigators are seeking tips about an intentionally-set house fire that happened Friday in Trafalgar.

Fire crews were called just before 6 a.m. Friday to 14 Watson Court, Trafalgar, for a reported residence on fire. Evidence suggests the fire was started intentionally at about 4:20 a.m. that morning, according to a Trafalgar Fire Department news release.

No injuries were reported in the fire. The investigation is ongoing, the news release says.

Now local fire and law enforcement officials are seeking the public’s support as they search for more information about the fire.

Investigators with the Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office are asking anyone with information about the fire or any suspicious activity leading up to it to contact the Indiana Arson Hotline at 1-800-382-4628. Officials say callers can remain anonymous and may receive up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible.
