165 E. Jefferson St., T-Shirt Express: An employee reported at 4:18 p.m. Friday that a man had inquired about shipping shirts and an online order and that he was in contact with someone on Facebook Messenger and T-Shirt Express said they do not know this person and does not conduct business transactions over Facebook using PayPal.
1000 block of N. Aberdeen Drive: A woman reported at 4:08 p.m. Friday that she befriended a female on the Discord app and this person said she would send her money, the woman received a check for $700 and she made a mobile deposit with her bank. The check was later declined and she realized it was a scam.

Thefts
2125 N. Morton St., Walmart: Loss prevention employee reported at 4:58 p.m. Saturday that a woman was seen on a security camera grabbing a car battery jump starter from the shelf, hiding it under her jacket then left the store and got into a gold color vehicle. She was later located and issued a summons for the charge of theft.
1000 block of Atlas Lane: An employee of Arbor Homes reported at 1:13 p.m. Friday that someone had entered a residence under construction and cut out a newly installed furnace.

1117 E. Main St., Red Carpet Inn: Reported at 9:49 p.m. Sunday that a burglary had occurred.

1133 N. Emerson Ave., Walmart: Reported at 6:49 p.m. Saturday that a woman was issued a summons to appear for the crime of theft.

4500 block of S. County Road 537 E., Franklin: A man reported at 2:20 p.m. Sunday that the catalytic converter had been stolen off his vehicle.
4000 block of Nance Lane, Greenwood: A man reported at 11:19 a.m. Friday that he believes a woman who stayed overnight at his residence had stolen a handgun.
