Women’s basketball dominates in opener

Sixteen different players got into the scoring column as Franklin College got its season off to a strong start with an 85-56 home rout of St. Mary’s on Wednesday evening. Jordan Coon scored 15 points and Brooke Grinstead added 13 for the Grizzlies, who forced 22 turnovers and held the Belles to 28.8% shooting from the field.

Woodmen defeated by Dragons

Greenwood came up on the short end of a 54-38 score against visiting New Palestine on Wednesday. Charlee Mayo led the Woodmen (0-3) with 11 points in a losing effort, while Eliana Anderson contributed nine points and Stasia Buckalew added seven.
