FREE MILKSHAKES FOR VETERANS, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. American Dairy Association Indiana will hand out free chocolate and vanilla milkshakes from the State Fair Dairy Bar on the grounds of the Indiana State Fair, 1202 E. 38th St., Indianapolis. All US military veterans and current active-duty military personnel will receive free milkshakes when they show their official ID in the drive-thru line. Family and friends accompanying them — up to six total occupants per vehicle — also will receive their choice of shake. Guests should enter the State Fairgrounds via Gate 6 off of Fall Creek Parkway, on the east side of the Fairgrounds.

SATURDAY BREAKFAST, Nov. 11 from 7 to 10 a.m. Held at Union Village Masonic Lodge 545, Cost is $10 per adult and $8 per kids ages 6-12, children 5 and under free. Veterans and active duty military get half price. Come and enjoy eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, pancakes (blueberry), fruit, applesauce, milk, juice and coffee. Lodge located at 1003 N. ORGANISTS TO PERFORM AT FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH EVENTS, 100 E. Madison St., Franklin. Events are free and open to the public. Nov. 19 at noon: International recitalist Alessandro Bianchi will present a concert at the church on the historic Steere pipe organ. AARP FOUNDATION is seeking local volunteers to help taxpayers with tax preparation and assistance in filing tax returns. Volunteers do not need to be AARP members but should be computer literate and have some familiarity with federal and state income taxes.
