Lancers notch first victory

Kenna Streeval scored 14 points, nine of them at the foul line, as Edinburgh got into the win column for the first time Wednesday with a 47-33 victory at Crothersville. Kyah Streeval added nine points for the Lancers (1-5), followed closely by Lillie Goff with eight and Bella Turner with seven.

Women’s basketball pulls away from Eagles

Maddie Barnes’ 20 points led the way as Franklin College pulled away in the second half for an 87-61 win at Spalding on Wednesday. Freshman Lauren Barker added 11 points for the Grizzlies (2-0), who held a three-point halftime lead before outscoring the Eagles 26-10 in the third quarter. Eleven different Franklin players notched at least four points in the victory.
