Specialist joins Franciscan Health
Dr. Tiki Bakhshi, a Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist, has joined Franciscan Health and is accepting new patients at his practice in Indianapolis.
Bakhshi will assist the patient’s primary obstetrical provider in the care of pregnant women who are at an elevated risk for complications because of current or past medical conditions of the mother, unborn baby or both.

Weather service announces new staff
BAMWX announced that it has hired Lauren Thomas as its Director of Sales.
Thomas has more than seven years of executive experience and her primary focus will be ensuring that BAMWX’s new platform, Clarity, is spread throughout the country.
A critical part of BAM’s vision is to educate people in the importance of a more customized and proactive weather forecast and Thomas will play a major role in achieving that vision. BAMWX specializes in delivering a very simple yet unique and personal, location specific forecast.
Thomas has a degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University and in her free time loves to spend time with her husband, kids and dogs, hiking and traveling.
Duke Energy offers energy bill assistance
Duke Energy offers more than $425,000 in energy bill assistance to help Hoosier families facing financial hardship this winter through the company’s Share the Light Fund.
Eligibility for the Share the Light Fund is based on income, family size and the availability of resources. Customers can receive up to a $300 credit annually on their account. Individuals should contact their local community action agency to see if they are eligible.
