Stephen Iverson Skersick

GREENWOOD

On Friday, November 17, 2023, Stephen Iverson Skersick passed away in his home at the age of 84. He was born on November 1, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan and became the oldest of 4 children.

He attended Rose Hullman, where he earned a chemical engineering degree and fell in love with a gal at ISU. After his service in the Army, Steve built a long, wonderful career with Eli Lilly &Co, where he was blessed with working overseas in many beautiful countries. He also had many hobbies including scuba diving, fishing in Canada, and stained glass. He was an avid Colts and IU womens basketball fan. But the moments in life that he treasured the most were with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether he was following all of their sports or having deep conversations with them about their life, nothing topped that in his eyes. He was a tough one, but you knew you were loved. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his children, Chris (Teri) Skersick and Annie (Michael) Marlatt; 9 grandchildren; 4 (soon to be 5) great-grandchildren; and his 2 siblings Penny (Mike) Terrone and Mike (Tami) Skersick.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Glenn and Marge Skersick; his brother, Jeff Skersick; and the love of his life and best friend, Judith Ash Skersick.

Services will be held privately by Steve’s family.
