GREENWOOD
James “Jim” E. Bennett, 75, of Greenwood, entered into eternal rest on November 21, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1948 in North Vernon, Indiana to John Clark and Cora Clark.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Touring in Vietnam and serving as a combat engineer.
Jim enjoyed working around his home with his two cats. He was found collecting vintage model cars from the flea markets.
Jim leaves behind to treasure his memory, his wife of 41 years, Doreen Bennett; daughter, Kalie Bennett; son, David Bennett. His two sisters, two brothers, three nephews and a brother-in-law will carry along many memories with them as well.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at G. H. Herrmann Greenwood Funeral Home, 1605 S. State Road 135, Greenwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s name have been requested to the Wounded Warrior Project. A foundation near and dear to Jim’s heart.
