Marilyn Jean (Kellams) Lusk

COLUMBUS

Marilyn Jean (Kellams) Lusk, 93 of Columbus, Indiana passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, December 31, 2023. She was a former longtime resident of Franklin, Indiana.

She was born on November 9, 1930 in Bedford, Indiana to George and Hazel (Anderson) Kellams. Marilyn married Richard D. Lusk on October 22, 1950 in Franklin. He preceded her in passing. She is survived by their two daughters, Connie (Del) Brinson of Trafalgar and Carol (Kirk) Brownfield of Columbus; six grandchildren, Hillary Brinson, Katie Michalski (Derek), Sean Brinson (Sophia), Jade Brownfield, Jarrett Brownfield (Addison) and Jesse Brownfield; and 4 great grandchildren, Willa, Anna, Maeve, and Marlowe. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Richard; daughter, Cathy Lusk, (twin of Carol) and sister, Loretta Gibbens.

She was a 1948 graduate of Franklin High School. She went on to attend Franklin College.

Marilyn was employed as a bookkeeper at Bank One of Franklin, retiring after twenty-seven years of dedicated service.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and a member of Delta, Delta, Delta and Psi-Iota-Xi sororities.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wright Chapel at the Otterbein SeniorLife Community, 1070 W. Jefferson Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131 with a service on Saturday, January 6th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Chaplain Deb Baker will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
