FRANKLIN
Stephen Wayne Reeves, 76, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.
He was born on January 17, 1948 in Evansville, Indiana to George Irving Reeves and Tessa (Buckman) Reeves. He married Hilde (Egglkraut) on September 9, 1972. She lovingly survives. Also surviving is son, Michael Reeves; sisters, Janie Hutchinson and Connie Morales and brother Dennis Reeves and grandsons, Justus Reeves and Mason Reeves. He was preceded in passing by his parents and son, Joe Lynn Reeves.
Steve was a high school graduate. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm.
Steve retired from the Military in 2008 and was employed by the United States Postal Office Distribution Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He enjoyed fishing, traveling and riding his Harley Davidson. Steve was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan. He loved spending time with his family.
Father Tim DeCrane will conduct a service on Monday, January 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation on Monday, January 29th from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery where military honors will be conducted by the Franklin American Legion Post No. 205.
