Roberta Kammerer, age 70, of Franklin, Indiana, passed away on February 2, 2024 from complications with her long battle with cancer. She was born on May 25, 1953, in Franklin, Indiana, to the late Harold “Cotton” and Frieda (Baker) Richeson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ralph “Skip” Kammerer.Roberta graduated from Emerich Manual High School in 1971. She went on to have a successful career in the insurance industry, working for Indiana Insurance, which later became Liberty Mutual. She retired as an adjuster in 2011. The role Roberta valued most was that of family and friend which she demonstrated in all facets of her life through loving thoughtfulness and kindness.Roberta is survived by her loving daughter, Regina (Ongley) Miller, and her husband, Ed. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughters: Sarah Catellier, Emily Smith (Colten), Molly Miller, Megan Shamseddeen (Hani), and Kelly Miller. Roberta was a proud great-grandmother to Henry, Norah, Cooper, Samuel, Wyatt, John, and Abbas. She is survived by siblings, Terry Million (Ruby), Charlotte Reitz, Eric Luke, Carla Spencer, sister-in-law, Sookie Million, and stepson, Craig Kammerer (Holly).Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Harold “Cotton” Richeson, Marjorie Richeson, and Frieda Sandhoff; stepdaughter, Tina Hacker; granddaughter, Kathleen Miller; great-granddaughter, Amira, and brothers James Million and Tom Million. Services: Saturday, February 10, 2024, at Wilson St. Pierre, 481 W. Main Street, Greenwood, IN. Public visitation begins at 12:30pm, funeral at 3:00pm with burial immediately following at Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations are suggested to Riley Children’s Hospital.Roberta will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched throughout her life. May her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew her.
