Wilma Ruth Kirby Carson was born on January 1, 1939. She was 85 years old.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, LeRoy Carson, her parents Robert and Estelle Kirby, her siblings, Roberta, LaVon, Bobby, Maury Rose, Marvin, and Judy.
She is survived by siblings Tanya Sue, Larry, and David.
She is survived by her four children, Russell (Gayle) Carson, Sabrina (Rick) Greely, Ronny (Samantha) Carson, Randy (Ridona) Carson.
She has 10 grandchildren David (Chrystal) Carson, John (Amanda) Carson, Star (Russ) Cook, Jared (Andrea) Cave, Krystal (Aaron) Loomis, Kyle (Jordan) Carson, Jeremy (Oriana) Carson, Jaima Carson, Apryl (Jimmy) Jackson, Krystal (Josh) Anderson.
She has 19 great grandchildren Jack, Zane, Mallory, Madison, Tristan, Carson, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Zoe, Sawyer, Isaac, Oklie, River, Magnolia, Chandler, Lynzi, Elizabeth, Matthew, and Nick.
She has 4 great great-grandchildren. Emmie, Alexander, Isabella, and Boyd.
Wilma was a retired hair stylist. Through the years, she and her husband LeRoy owned a motel, and owned a bar. They also bought and flipped houses. Wilma and LeRoy were bronze medal dancers. You could find them just about every Saturday night, dancing at the Moose Lodge with their good friends, Dave and Lois Layson.
Wilma was a great mother and a wonderful friend. Heaven gained an angel for sure.
A celebration of life service will be conducted on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 N. Morton Street (U.S. 31) in Franklin. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Greenwood, Indiana at a later date.
