GREENWOOD, INDIANA
Bettie Jean Gholston, 87, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at her home.
Bettie was born in Huntsville, Alabama on April 8, 1936 to the late Floyd Haynes and Fronie Beatrice (Cobb) Watson.
She graduated from Franklin High School. Bettie was a Jehovah’s Witness. She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, crossword puzzles, and was an incredible cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Donald Watson; stepson, Curt Gholston.
Bettie is survived by her husband of 40 years, Robert Michael Gholston of Greenwood, IN; children, Terry Lewis (Carolyn) of Whiteland, IN, Danny Lewis (Kathy) of Franklin, IN, and Jeff Lewis (Maryanne) of Stilesville, IN; stepson, Kevin Gholston (Cindy) of Melbourne, FL; stepdaughter, Deborah Hogg (David) of Aurora, IN; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Nell Rose Pettit, Jan Watson, Donna Watson, Don Watson, and Lydonna Haynes; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Kingdom Hall, 2508 North Morton Street, Franklin, IN 46131.
