NAPLES, FLORIDA
Ruth Janette Lawson, 89 of Naples, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. She was a former longtime resident of Franklin, Indiana.
She was born on August 31, 1934 in Franklin to the late Paul and Katherine (Liengent) Brown. She married Carl William Lawson on October 15, 1949. She is survived by children, David A. Lawson (Anna Marie), Barbara Dragoo (Robert) and Rita Stephenson (James); grandchildren, Emily Manlove (Adam), Tracy Long (Jennifer), Erica Charriere (Brent) and Riley Burke; great-grandchildren, Henry Manlove, Katlin Long (fiancé, Gabe), Allie Long, Hannah Long, Ava Charriere, Anna Charriere and Landon Charriere. She was preceded in passing by her husband, Carl W. Lawson in 1996; granddaughter, Kristin Burke and grandson, Andy Burke. Also preceded in passing by her siblings, Gene Brown, Lois Lawson, Mary Ann Hill and Juanita Yeats.
Ruth attended Needham Elementary and Franklin High School.
She was a Homemaker. She had worked for Johnson County Memorial Hospital in Franklin and Amos-Plastics in Edinburgh, Indiana.
Ruth loved her pet dogs, especially Marco. She was an avid golfer.
Mike Lawson will conduct a Celebration of Ruth’s life on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, Indiana.
