Whiteland served up 23 aces on the way to a quick 25-15, 25-11, 25-16 win over Beech Grove on Thursday. Jonathan McCoy added five kills on the night for the Warriors (2-0).
Grizzly Cubs sweep Dragons
Franklin defeated New Palestine on Thursday, 25-10, 25-15, 25-16. Zach Newton had 12 kills and Chase Alyea 11 for the Grizzly Cubs (3-3), who also got 31 assists and seven digs from Charlie Sanders.
