1000 block of Grassy Creek Circle: A woman reported at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday that her mother had received an alert from Facebook stating that her identity had been stolen and was being used to download child abuse material. After she called the number they told her that her bank was stealing her identity and she needed to withdraw all her money from her bank account and take it to a Bitcoin machine. The woman called her daughter first and she told her it was a scam and to not give them money.

461 Greenwood Park Drive S., Regal Cinema: Reported at 9:47 p.m. Wednesday that a counterfeit $20 bill was located.
Personal-injury crash
6:15 p.m. Wednesday – W. Worthsville Road and E. Autumnwood Drive. A man reported having pain and injury to his head.

800 Parliament Place: Reported at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday that a theft had occurred.
789 U.S. 31 N. Panera Bread: Reported at 2:17 p.m. Wednesday the theft of a purse had occurred.
1000 block of Flintlock Drive: Reported at 10:31 a.m. Wednesday the theft of a pistol from inside a vehicle had occurred.
Johnson County
Narcotics
S. Morgantown Road and W. Smith Valley Road, Greenwood: A officer reported at 10:56 p.m. Wednesday that during a traffic stop for speeding he detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. After a search of the vehicle THC wax and a glass smoking device were found and the passenger was issued a summons for possession of marijuana.
Bachelor St. and Lincoln St., Edinburgh: A officer reported at 9:23 p.m. Wednesday that during a traffic stop he saw the driver stuff something into her purse. After a search of the vehicle a bag of methamphetamine was located in her purse and other narcotics were located, she was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and wanted on an out of state warrant.
4000 W. County Line Road, Greenwood: A officer reported at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday that during welfare check with the Department of Child Services at the residence, a glass pipe was in plain view and an odor of burnt marijuana was present. A woman was issued citations for possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
