Trojans nip Tri-West

Riley Henson, Riley Fuhr and Taylor Barrett combined on a two-hit shutout to lift Center Grove to a 1-0 victory over Class 3A No. 4 Tri-West on Wednesday. Kynadee Warner scored the lone run for the Trojans (19-6).

Grizzly Cubs fall to Hawks

Franklin was defeated by Decatur Central, 6-2. Lexi Willey had a pair of hits in a losing effort for the Grizzly Cubs (11-13, 5-8 Mid-State).

Greenwood loses to Plainfield

Errors doomed Greenwood to an 8-1 setback at Plainfield. Gracelyn Bowles tripled and scored the lone run for the Woodmen (13-10, 6-7 Mid-State) on an RBI hit from Gillian Semmler.

Pioneers top Warriors in eighth

Mooresville scraped together an eighth-inning run to walk off a 3-2 win over Whiteland. Maddy Myers and Gracee Whitaker drove in runs for the Warriors (11-11, 6-7 Mid-State).

Woodmen get past Quakers

Micah Vessely went the distance on the mound, striking out eight, in Greenwood’s 2-1 win over Plainfield on Wednesday. Landen Smith drove in a run for the Woodmen (11-11, 8-5 Mid-State).

Whiteland edged by Mooresville

Class 4A No. 3 Mooresville rallied from a three-run deficit, scoring three runs in the seventh inning to escape with a 4-3 win at Whiteland. Blake Riddle had an RBI and Kayden Wilson added a pair of hits for the Warriors (13-9, 7-6 Mid-State).

Franklin beats Plainfield, GCA

Kadin Gibson was the medalist with a 35 in Franklin’s Wednesday victory over Plainfield and Greenwood Christian. Reid Davidson added a 37 for the Grizzly Cubs, while Luke Bechert, Jack Lock and Matthew Ferguson each shot 39.
