Here’s what’s going on with I-69 the week of June 24

Lane and ramp closures are planned on Interstate 465 this week as work continues on the I-69 Finish Line Project.

Monday and Tuesday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly single left-lane restrictions for westbound I-465 between Hanna Avenue and I-70 will be needed for light pole construction, according to a road work update from Indiana Department of Transportation.

Tuesday and Wednesday nightly from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., the southbound State Road 37 exit ramp to Southport Road will be closed for paving and drainage work. Traffic will detour at County Line Road during the ramp closure.

From 9 p.m. on Friday through 5 a.m. on July 1, Bluff Road under I-465 from Thompson Road to Hanna Avenue will be closed for bridge construction. Motorists should follow Thompson Road and Hanna Avenue to Meridian Street as a detour during this closure.

The southbound US 31/East Street ramp to I-465 westbound will remain closed through summer.

Harding Street under I-465 will be reduced to one through lane and one left-turn lane for the remainder of 2024.

In Johnson County, motorists should expect to see rolling single-lane closures on southbound and northbound State Road 37 between Banta Road and Fairview Road for pavement striping. The rolling closures can be expected daily until Saturday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

All this week, motorists should also watch for crews working in the median and on the shoulders of State Road 37 between Olive Branch and Smith Valley Road. Work in the median is to repair cable rail posts, and work near the shoulders is to repair side ditch erosion.
