Despite the rain on the Freedom Festival parade, the festival continued largely as planned Saturday.
The parade was cut short when a strong thunderstorm with torrential rain gathered over Greenwood. However, the festival and fireworks went on after a brief delay.
The ground was soggy on the event lawn at Craig Park, but festival-goers celebrated freedom with food, music, dancing, celebrating veterans and fireworks as planned.
