FRANKLIN
Joan Shaw, 81 of Franklin, passed away on July 13, 2024.
She was born on April 26, 1943 in New Blaine, AR. Her parents were Bernard and Caroline (Schulte) Ebbing. Joan married James Shaw on January 18, 1964. She is survived by daughters, Lisa Marrero and Cara Shaw; grandson, Casey (Meghann) Marrero and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband; brother Ben Ebbing; sisters, Mary Ann Wilkins and Doris Thomasson and several nieces and nephews.
Joan was a graduate of Franklin High School.
She worked at Johnson Memorial for forty years, with most of that time as the Treasurer for the Hospital.
She enjoyed camping, boating, fishing, crocheting, gardening, sewing and playing cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 114 Lancelot Drive, Franklin, Indiana. Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chihuahua Rescue Indiana, Inc.; ASPCA or to St. Jude Hospital for Children.
