Jana Lee Curry

Jana Lee Curry (Wilson), 77 of Trafalgar, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2024.

She was born on March 12, 1947 in Clarksville, Indiana to Paul and Madge (Sadler) Wilson. She married Jerry Curry on June 23, 1978. He lovingly survives. She is also survived by children, Juli Baurain (Tina), Jack Long (Wassana) and Jody Curry; grandchildren, Jay Johns (Dawn), Lyndsey Johns (Sarah), Netty Fuekhad (Khimie), Jessica Long and Jesse Ryan and great-grandchildren, Amber Lynn Canfield and Moji Fuekhad; brothers, Jerry Wilson and Jimmy Wilson; sister-in-law Carla Wilson and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in passing by her parents; son, Jerry “Bubba” Curry, Jr.; brother, John “Doug” Wilson and sisters-in-law, Phyllis Wilson and Mary Wilson.

Jana was a 1964 graduate of Franklin High School. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech, Columbus in 1992 where she was the Valedictorian of her class.

She worked at St. Therese Hospital in Waukeagan, Illinois. She was employed as an LPN at Johnson Memorial Hospital for twenty years and later worked at Trafalgar Clinic for fifteen years where she was the Supervisor of the Nurses.

Jana liked photography; enjoyed collecting semi-precious stones, gardening and flowers and loved animals. Her nursing career allowed her to take care of people as she loved to help everyone.

A Celebration of Jana’s life will be held on Saturday, July 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, July 19th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh, Indiana.
